Mitch McConnell, the longest-serving U.S. Senator in Kentucky’s history, is the Senate Republican Leader in the 111th Congress. Elected to that position unanimously by his colleagues on November 18, 2008, he is the 15th Senate Republican Leader and only the second Kentuckian to lead his party in the Senate. Senator McConnell graduated with honors from the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences in 1964 and University of Kentucky College of Law in 1967.

Senator Rand Paul Website 

In 1995, Rand founded the Southern Kentucky Lions Eye Clinic, an organization that provides eye exams and surgery to needy families and individuals. Rand is a former president and 17 year member of Lions Clubs International, which is dedicated to preserving sight by providing eyeglasses and surgery to the less fortunate around the world. In recognition of his outstanding and sustained efforts to provide vision care to Kentuckians in need, Lions Clubs International has awarded Rand many of its highest commendations.

Bill Farmer

Rep. Bill Farmer (District 88)

Representative Bill Farmer was born March 18, 1962. He attended Old Dominion University from 1980-1982, then attended New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1982. Bill is a Tax accountant and owner of HTI tax service. He also worked as an engineer for Ragtheon Company and Ed Bullard Company prior to being elected to the Kentucky State House in 2003.

Stan Lee

Rep. Stan Lee (District 45)

Representative Stan Lee was elected to office in 2001 and continues to serve as a member of the Kentucky State House. Rep. Lee was born September 26, 1961. Rep. Lee is a partner at Vimont and Wills law firm and is a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, and Fayette County Bar Association.

Rep. Ryan Quarles (District 62)

Representative Quarles was elected as one of three Republican State House members under the age 30 in 2010. A native of Scott Co., Ryan grew up on a family farm where he continues to spend days farming. Ryan  went to Scott Co. High School. He’s got two undergraduate degrees from the University of Kentucky, two master’s degrees from the University of Kentucky, A master’s degree in Higher Education from Harvard University and a law degree from University of Kentucky Law School.

Constitutional Officers

 Commissioner of Agriculture James Comer

James R. Comer, a native of Tompkinsville, was elected Kentucky’s Commissioner of Agriculture on November 8, 2011, and was sworn in on January 2, 2012.

Elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2000, at just 27 years old, Comer hit the ground running, passing a record of five bills into law– the most for a freshman member of the Republican caucus in Frankfort.
